A Tale of Two Families

It may be said that a musical inheritance is more precious than one of gold and silver. No strangers to the classical music scene in Singapore, members within the Lim and Chan family have been joined together for generations by an imperishable bond. And now, for two nights, they come together as one for the first time, to bring you an eclectic selection of chamber and solo numbers including Britten’s Phantasy Quartet, Copland’s Sextet, Isang Yun’s East West Miniatures for oboe and cello, as well as Beethoven’s Kreutzer sonata for cello quintet (Singapore premiere). We invite you to join the two biggest musical families in this country as they celebrate family, friendship, and their artistic heritage.

When not writing about lifestyle and culture, he dabbles in photography, graphic design, plays four instruments and is a professional wearer of bowties. His greatest weakness: spending more money on clothes than he probably should. Find him across the social world as @grimlay
