Adopt a Senior Cat This International Cat Day 2020

In celebration of International Cat Day (8 August), and to wrap up our enjoyable partnership with the folks at Project LUNI, we’re hoping to help their senior cats go to wonderful homes. If you’re looking to adopt a kitty that might not require as much work as say, a pair of kittens, these beautiful older cats might just be for you.

Ciri
A sweet older girl, who had treatment for an eye ulcer and a hernia, Ciri is now recovering and looking fo a loving home for her golden years. Don’t you love that the galaxy seems to exist in her eyes? Then there is 10-year old Vanilla (featured image) with unusual blue eyes, who was abandoned and then mistreated on the streets, resulting in him having broken teeth. He still has several good years that he’d love to spend in a home!

Milo is a Circuit Breaker miracle. Trapped as a stray in a condo where he was set to be captured and killed, he struggled initially with indoor life. As sterilisations were halted, he unfortunately could not return to the streets. In foster care, he slowly came around and is now a love bug that can be picked up – and even asks for cuddles too.
A former street cat with a friendly nature, one-year old Goma has blossomed while living indoors when the team at Project LUNI decided to give this young cat a chance.
Michu has had a lot of bad luck in her life so far. Her owner passed away and she ended up in a cattery. She was adopted but returned in a week, due to no fault of her own – her then adopters had family circumstances that required prolonged travel. This sweet older lady is looking for her forever home this time.
While Project LUNI would love to find the above seniors a loving home as soon as possible, so they can settle in and enjoy their retirement, they also have about 20 kittens aged between six weeks to six months about ready to be adopted. Head to their Facebook page to find out more.
All cats and kittens have been dewormed, deflead and had their first vaccinations. To enquire, simply fill out their adoption form here.

Project LUNI is a Singapore-registered non-profit organization that has been saving street cats and kittens since 2017. Founded by Nina Heusler-Astolfi and Lukas Heusler, the project focuses on four pillars: Rehoming kittens, daily feeding of street cats, Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) and medical care for street cats. Together with a passionate team of volunteers they successfully rehomed 117 cats in 2019 and have also sterilised more than 400 cats since their inception.

All of Project LUNI’s kittens and cats are vaccinated, dewormed and treated against fleas and mites if necessary. They have visited a vet for at least one full health check and will give you the vaccination booklet at the adoption date. Mostly, Project LUNI understands how important it is to socialise and shower them with love so they will make a perfect family member and are happy to live in a home before putting them up for adoption.

Check out the latest adoption posts on their Facebook and Instagram pages and in our weekly newsletter. Project LUNI also provides regular tips on how to care for your felines on their socials, so you’re welcome to drop them a message if you have any questions.
