AN ACOUSTIC EVENING WITH JASON MRAZ AND RAINING JANE

Atlantic recording artist JASON MRAZ is set for a whirlwind of activity celebrating the release of his new album “YES!.” Following his US Tour, the multi-GRAMMY ® Award-winning singer/songwriter has announced he will embark on tour dates stopping in Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Japan, and the Philippines. All dates will feature backing from “YES!” collaborators, Raining Jane. Live Nation Lushington are proud to announce that Jason Mraz will perform on November 17 and 18 at The Star Theatre.

“YES!” marks what is perhaps the most unexpected and accomplished collection of the San Diego-based troubadour’s already extraordinary career. Highlighted by the first single, “Love Someone,” the album – which finds Mraz teaming up with his longtime friends, Raining Jane, debuted #1 on the sales charts in 46 territories around the world. “YES!” was asia #1 on the Singapore iTunes charts.

In 2014, Mraz has made a conscious choice to perform in venues smaller than the usual amphi-theatres/arenas with several multi-day residencies, including an all-borough, six-show stint in New York City, and has selected a number of historic theatres and concert halls such as London’s Royal Albert Hall, Paris’ Casino de Paris, Amsterdam’s Royal Theatre Carré, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, and Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle. Mraz now looks forward to getting to Asia for more shows. For up-to-the-minute information, please log on to jasonmraz.com/tour.

“YES!” was preceded by the recent release of We Can Take The Long Way, a short film which premiered via USA Today and is streaming now at Mraz’s official YouTube Channel, http://youtu.be/0OfyQtaVpHA . Directed by Jeff Nicholas and Jonathan Craven and produced by The Uprising Creative (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna), We Can Take The Long Way features three songs from “YES!” including “Love Someone,” “Hello, You Beautiful Thing,” and “Long Drive.” The stand-alone companion video accompanying “Love Someone” can be viewed at http://youtu.be/J74Y6kDDTkM . Furthermore, an exclusive series of acoustic performance clips, “Live @ Mraz Organics’ Avocado Ranch,” were released via Mraz’s Facebook page and can be viewed now at www.youtube.com/OfficialJasonMraz . Tour video installments can be found at www.youtube.com/TheOfficialJasonMraz.

One of the world’s hardest working and most beloved artists, Jason Mraz’s journey has propelled him from the San Diego coffee house scene to arena, amphitheatres, and stadiums all over the world. A two-time GRAMMY® Award winner and six-time nominee, Mraz made pop history with his record-breaking classic single, ‘I’m Yours,” while also earning platinum and multi-platinum certifications in more than 20 countries. Moreover, the San Diego-based troubadour has proven a truly diverse creative presence. A dedicated surfer, farmer/gardener, filmmaker, and photographer, Mraz is first and foremost a committed global citizen. His impassioned social activism and philanthropic efforts span wide-ranging environmental advocacy and ardent support for LGBT equality. Though it all, Jason Mraz continually confirms and celebrates music’s myriad forms and miraculous power, inspiring and delighting his countless fans around the world he calls home.

Gary is one of those proverbial jack of all trades… you know the rest. When not writing about lifestyle and culture, he dabbles in photography, graphic design, plays four instruments and is a professional wearer of bowties. His greatest weakness: spending more money on clothes than he probably should. Find him across the social world as @grimlay
