Bangkokian Museum

Rustic and homely, the Bangkokian Museum will show you a different side to the Bangkok that you’re used to. Comprising of three simple buildings, the purpose of this museum is to shed light on how Thai families lived before World War 2. The first house was built in 1937, and western influences are very obvious in its architecture, probably due to the fact that the designs were popular back then. The second house wasn’t actually constructed on this same plot of land – but the countryside, where most of the things it houses are from the 1920’s. The third building is propped with various miscellaneous objects from the past that don’t bear any historical significance.

Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday: 10am to 4pm. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
