Capri Trattoria & Pizzeria

Diners can look forward to cuisine from Calabria in Southern Italy. The Home-made Pasta with Ndjua ($25) is an eye-opener, and the spicy, spreadable pork paste is absolutely delish. Alternatively, try the delectable Pizza allo Spada ($28) – pizza topped with carpaccio of house-cured swordfish – and the traditional seafood stew, Cacciucco alla Livornese ($28). Even if you don’t live in the vicinity, Capri makes a trip out to Bukit Timah worthwhile.

When Joel’s not partaking in one of his shameless eating sessions, he likes to think of himself as a sponge – absorbing the mysteries and beauty of our world – be it through a good book or a wacky jaunt in a foreign country.
