Celebrate Rosé Revolution 2015 at Bar & Billiard Room

Raffles Singapore presents Rosé Revolution 2015, the largest annual rosé appreciation event in Asia. Now in its fourth year and the most ambitious yet, the festival will be held in three cities – Hong Kong, Singapore and Macau.
The Singapore leg is the result of a collaborative effort between Raffles Singapore’s Wine Director, Stephané Soret and Eddie McDougall, popularly known as The Flying Winemaker after his TLC TV show. The event, held on the 23rd of May, will feature over 20 rosés for tastings and purchase.
Eddie McDougall is a prominent figure in the Asian wine industry. On top of being a judge for the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards since 2012, he is the founder of The Flying Winemaker, a wine tasting venue and wine shop in Hong Kong.
Raffles Hotel Singapore’s Wine Director Stéphane Soret has built an illustrious career in wine, spanning over 25 years. He has also been part of the esteemed panel of judges for the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards for London and Hong Kong since 2008.
Both wine connoisseurs are excited to introduce the culture of rosé drinking to Singapore. Traditionally enjoyed in summertime, rosé is perfect for Singapore’s warm climate, with its refreshing, fruit-forward notes that complement local dishes and flavours. Ticket holders may look forward to sampling rosés specially selected for the event and will have opportunities to interact with the presenting team to learn more about the pink wine.
Rosés from world-renowned wineries will be showcased at the festival, such as the M. Chapoutier from Rhône Valley and Rosa Del Golfo. Located in Puglia, long famed for its outstanding rosés and terra rossa (iron rich soil that produces wine with great structure and complexity), the family owned Rosa Del Golfo has been making its prized rosés for generations. Also available is the limited edition Champagne Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé, exclusively bottled for Raffles Singapore to mark its 125th anniversary.
Rosé Revolution 2015 will be held at Bar & Billiard Room on 23rd May 2015 from 12pm – 6pm.
