Chef Chris Donnellan Returns to Ding Dong

Ding Dong is happy to announce that Southeast Asian food specialist and former head chef at Melbourne’s Gingerboy, Chef Chris Donnellan is returning to Ding Dong with a new menu for three exclusive dinners on 12 – 14 August.

With a new concept restaurant up his sleeve to be launched in the heart of Ho Chih Minh City in September, Donnellan makes a reappearance in Ding Dong’s kitchen with a fresh take on Southeast Asian cuisine.

The menu focuses on Vietnamese and Thai flavours for the perfect balance of hot, sweet, salty and sour with underlying textures, join us in welcoming Chris Donnallan to guide us through modern Siamese experience like no other. Details to the dinners as follows,

Pork nam prik ong, cherry tomatoes and coriander $17

Soy cured ocean trout, turmeric and coconut caramel, pickled cucumber $24

Salt and pepper oysters with nam prik pla and shredded ice berg $27

Roasted rice crusted snapper, pomelo and young coconut salad with red nam jim $26

Crispy duck leg with red curry, confit shallots, coconut cream and pandanus infused rice $29

Toasted coconut parfait, spiced strawberry soup, lychees and coconut tuille $17
