Chinese New Year in Singapore 2021: Best Restaurants for Delicious Reunion Lunches & Dinners

This year, we may be limited in how many people we can jio to each reunion dinner session, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still eat as well as we did. The Orchard Cafe

Looking to get your money’s worth? Look no further than The Orchard Cafe’s Lunar New Year buffets brimming with unlimited servings of Asian and international classics alongside festive favourites. Prosperity Yu Sheng with Abalone kicks off the meal, then indulge in fresh seafood platters, Chinese roast meats, juicy roasted Angus Beef Ribeye, and Baked Norwegian Salmon. For dessert, there’s traditional Nian Gao and Glutinous Balls in Ginger Soup. What’s more, get up to 25% off when you book for Chinese New Year Eve and the first day by 7 February.

Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant

Here to elevate your Lunar New Year celebrations, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant has specially curated a treasure trove of exquisite Lunar New Year delicacies, ideal for family reunions and gatherings of eight people. Choose from eight-course Prosperity Set Menus, and an a la carte menu, all stunningly presented and cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients. Red House Seafood is known for specialising in sustainably sourced, super fresh seafood, and they’ve prepared special set menus for the coming Lunar New Year. With seven- and eight-course meals ranging from S$368++ to S$1388++, they’re prepared to help you usher in blessings and good luck. Kick off the celebration with their selections of Yu Sheng (in salmon and abalone options) and enjoy crowd favourites like Braised Boston Lobster in Superior Stock, Steamed Marble Goby in Superior Soya Sauce and the Spicy Seafood Combination with Crispy Mantou.

Si Chuan Dou Hua is all about flashy showmanship and beautifully presented food, but not without a nod to tradition – their Sichuan and Cantonese cuisines are renowned locally for being authentic. One Michelin Star restaurant Summer Pavilion is at the top of their game this year. With indulgences like Australian greenlip abalone with salmon roe yu sheng, double-boiled sea whelk soup with fish maw, chicken and wild mushroom, and baked wagyu beef puffs, there’s no better place to eat like royalty this Chinese New Year. They’ve also got six- to eight-course set lunch and dinner menus starting at a very affordable S$118 per person, considering the quality of ingredients and cooking here.
