City Nomads Radio – Have you heard?

So what’s all this then? Seen something called City Nomads Radio popping up but wondering what the ‘eck it’s all about? Well peeps, it’s about music. Good music. Great music. One thing that Singapore could possibly be critiqued on, is its slight lack of music chops. I mean, there’s mainstream stuff happening all over the shop, and then there’s weird old people stuff- Cliff Richards is coming to Singapore next year…..words fail me. But what about something a little more alternative?

City Nomads Radio came about, because we’re not just dedicated to bringing you the best of Singapore’s undiscovered food, drink, culture, nightlife, fashion & art…we also know a bit about music! We wanted the opportunity to introduce you to the freshest sounds that Singapore’s local music scene has to offer. And so, here are some very good reasons why you should check it out.

1. Because we will never play Cliff Richards.
2. Every mix we feature is from a local DJ or collective, so we’re bringing you tunes compiled by homegrown talent, and it’s not only showcasing DJs with great musical taste but also serious skills.
3. Because it’s free- ummhmmm that’s right. FREE. So here’s the dealio….You can listen to it for FREE on Mixcrate, just by clicking the link on your smartphone, laptop or fancy tablet thingy. And if you like what you hear, you can download it, for FREE and then play it whenever you like for FREE. We like to make it easy for you folks!
4. We’re an eclectic bunch so there’s no one genre that we stick to. I mean, sure, we’re going to avoid mainstream, charts stuff, but apart from that we’re open to all aural influences! So far we’ve had house, hiphop, funk, soul, ambient, techno, electro and a little reggae. With the continuation of this project next year, we hope to have more to bring you, like drum n bass, country, rock, perhaps even whale song 🙂 something for everyone!
