Exhibition: Today

Red Dot Award for Product Design 2015 saw a record number of 4,928 entries from 56 countries, with a jury comprising 38 international experts.

In an evaluation process spanning several days, the team of experts awarded the sought-after seal of quality for good design, the Red Dot, to 1,240 products. Only 81 entries were bestowed the honour of the top award, the Red Dot: Best of the Best, while 122 won an Honourable Mention for a particularly well-executed aspect of design work.

A collection of works are on display at the Red Dot Museum Singapore. One will explore all areas of daily life and how design can make a difference. The exhibition encourages visitors to ‘reach out and touch’ most of the exhibits, allowing one to explore the prize winning products through one’s senses.

A watch or a bracelet, a mobile phone or a television set, a food processor or a car. Every one of us possesses a multitude of different objects, and each of those objects is a living example of our everyday preferences and product culture.

At the museum, you will explore all areas of daily life and how design can make a difference.

Instead of ‘please do not touch’, the exhibition encourages you to ‘reach out and touch’ most of the exhibits, allowing you to explore the prize winning products with all of your senses.

The event will take place on 1 August from 11am at the Red Dot Museum.

The exhibtion will run for 1 year.
