Experience Nature’s Finest at JAAN

Ranked 74th on S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna’s The World’s Best Restaurant list, and placed 11th on the Asian edition, Swissôtel The Stamford’s JAAN is possibly one of the most sought-after jewels in Singapore’s culinary crown. Perched on the 70th floor of the Swissôtel, this artisanal French restaurant has launched an exquisite new menu featuring a plethora of exciting flavours and the freshest of seasonal produce.

JAAN’s new Chef de Cuisine Kirk Westaway’s ability to adapt timeless recipes into modernistic, avant-garde dishes has wowed critics and diners alike. After romping to victory in the S.Pellegrino Young Chef’s South-East Asian leg this year, he’ll be showcasing his expertise with a series of new set lunches and dinners with a range of Krug champagne like the Krug Grande Cuvée and the Krug Clos du Mesnil 2003.

Langoustine Cannelloni at JAAN

Seafood lovers can look forward to a luxuriant assembly of well-crafted crustacean-focused dishes like the Langoustine Cannelloni, a composition of Langoustine Tartar and Jelly, Egg Yolk, Oscietra Caviar, and Hokkaido Sea Urchin, as well as the Crayfish Zucchini, which stars Crayfish Jelly, Zucchini Veloute, Trumbetta, and Manuka Honey. The Roasted John Dory also makes an alluring treat for the senses, with servings of organic Chicken, Quinoa, and Lemon.

Chef Kirk doesn’t just work wonders with the oceanic though; his signature Forest Pigeon and Coarse Polenta was what propelled him to success during S.Pellegrino’s inaugural talent search. Depending on which menu you choose, this dish is best enjoyed with a glass of Krug Rosé or a 2010 Pinot Noir from Amisfield, Central Otago, New Zealand.

Roasted French Peaches at JAAN

Then, finish up the marvellous feast with the toothsome Roasted French Peaches with Vanilla Ice Cream, an amalgamation of Lemon Sponge Cake, Meringue, French Almonds and Apricot Puree.

One thing we love about JAAN is that vegetarians aren’t left out here. Their five and seven course Jardin Gourmand menus features exquisite green dishes like the Tomato Collection. Wine connoisseurs can also indulge in an enticing variety of supreme Spanish labels.
