Give The Drummer Some – A Fundraiser for Aidan

Featuring an all star group of DJs and musicians, with live music jams and all round good vibes.

Blu Jaz Cafe will be donating a percentage of the bar sales, and we’ll be taking cash donations on the day.

Why?

Aidan was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2011, a condition which affects his daily life. He has managed it reasonably well, but the last 12 months have been really tough. Although he was insured by a major insurance company, they have cited technicalities, and refused to reimburse the claims of over SGD$15,000 in medical bills, paid between February 2013 and January 2014. Taking legal action would be stressful, time-consuming, and unrealistic.

We can’t offer much in return apart from a big thank you and the feeling that you’ve helped a friend and fellow musician out. No donation amount is too small. Even if you can’t donate, please help spread the word by sharing the [Indiegogo page](http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/give-the-drummer-some-a-fundraiser-for-aidan/x/6278348).

Just so you know – our good friends at Mattblacc are helping us by receiving the donations on the Indiegogo page through their Paypal account.

For those who do not know Aidan personally, here’s a bit of background:

Since arriving in Singapore in 1999, Aidan has poured his heart and soul into the music scene. Co-founder of Wicked Aura Batucada, he managed the band for 5 years and performed with them around the world. 3 years ago, DJ Shellsuit and Aidan setup Sideshow, and made it their mission to help promote non-mainstream music and art in Singapore. The company prides itself on creating new opportunities for deserving artists, most of whom are Singaporeans. Their events have become some of Singapore’s most loved by families, music lovers, and artists, and is a staple in their social calendars.
