iBrew Challenge returns

The iBrew Challenge, Singapore’s biggest amateur craft brewing competition, returns for its eighth year!

Organized by iBrew Singapore, a leading provider of homebrew supplies, the event gives beer enthusiasts a chance to show off their creative homebrewed concoctions while competing to be judged Singapore’s top amateur craft brewer by a panel of beer experts.

The competition is open to all homebrewers in Singapore, aged 18 and above. Participants can enter beers in one or more of the following beer-style categories:

1. Lager
2. Ale
3. IPA
4. Belgian
5. Special

Each entry costs $5, and must include two 330ml (or bigger) bottles of the same beer, which must be submitted to iBrew at Blk 354, Clementi Ave 2, #01-195, Singapore 120354 by Saturday, 23 August 2014.

Winners will be selected for each of the four categories, and will receive trophies and bragging rights. An overall ‘Best of Show’ will also be crowned.

Last year’s iBrew Challenge saw 300 homebrewers and beer enthusiasts at the event, and more than 50 beers entered for judging.

For further details please contact Raymond Lee at or 9002 0705.

Members of the public who are not homebrewers but still enjoy a few cold brewskies also have something to look forward to at the event. There will be a free flow of a wide range of unique craft beers on tap, including those from some of the top craft breweries around the world, as well as kegs submitted by selected homebrewers. Details of the beers that will be available and the ticket prices will be announced at a later date.
