Khao San Road

Khao San road is a backpacker haven where there is strong sub-culture of young hippie/hipster people, especially Westerners in the area. It is also the easiest place to find fried insects, best to get them from vendors pushing their carts along the streets. Be warned, it is a very touristy area. You could go to a good party there, but if you’re up for an authentic Thai experience, it’s not really the place for you.
