Hong Leong Building may not look like a lot fun, but a party is brewing in its depths! Food & beverage kiosk koskos is bringing together a band of bartenders, barbers, artists, DJs and chefs for the first ever Koskos Hour, a chilled-out, Friday evening romp through the basement of the 40-year-old office block on 31 July
2015, 6pm till late.

In one nostalgic, unlikely setting, Koskos Hour will feature gourmet food, artisanal drinks,
live DJ sets, ping pong, darts, grooming services and contemporary art by some of the
most passionate individuals and establishments.

What to expect at Koskos Hour:

– Har Cheong Gai waffle cone, dry laksa, crayfish rolls and BBQ pork rolls by Koskos
– Dishes by Chef Marc Wee of Arbite
– Cocktails by acclaimed bar and restaurant Fordham & Grand
– Bite-sized cakes and alcohol-infused marshmallows by Pastry Chef Sae Takagi
– Gentlemen’s haircuts, shaves, facials and grooming products by Sultans of Shave
– Live DJ sets by Mr. Has and weelikeme
– Ouroboros, a sculpture of 10,000 ping pong balls by British contemporary artist Nicola Anthony

The event was conceptualized by Quek Sue-Shan, director and co-founder of the newly launched Koskos, as a new way for frazzled office workers to decompress and avoid the Friday evening frenzy.

‘The fact is that we get stuck in mad traffic especially on a Friday evening just after 6pm
as everybody wants to get out of the office and go elsewhere fast. Koskos hour is about
taking time to destress where you’re at and not follow the herd. It’s a chance to discover
another side of the CBD,’ said Sue-Shan.
