LAFIDKI (CAM) live in Singapore

Other Sounds and B are excited to present Cambodian-born, Berlin-based experimental sound and visual artist Lafidki in Singapore on Friday, 17 October.

Lafidki’s (aka Saphy Vong) blend of noise and sequenced multi-layered rhythms is a captivating as a one-man show, amplified live when coupled with his spontaneous thinking and decision-making based on the energy of the people and space.

The often masked musician has a unique sense for abstract electronics and brings an unparalleled energy and joy rare in such deeply experimental psychedelia.

His list of incredible collaborations include projects with Hype Williams, Lydia Lunch, Shogun Kunitoki, Shonen Knife, Stellar Om Source, Com Truise, Laurel Halo, Le1f, and Dustin Wong (Ponytail).

Lafidki will be supported by FullBlackOrder (A/V set), Boykulisap, and No Rome.

The collective sound of the recently minted FullBlackOrder is an experiment in noise, feedback and elements appropriated from the various tropes of genres.

Originally based in the Philippines, Boykulisap’s works weave near the fringes of electronic music — from noise to techno, experimental beats to circuit bending — and will be collaborating with B for this special live showcase.

NO ROME



No Rome is a vehicle for Rome Gomez’s private experiments with different genres of electronic music. The honeyed, dance floor-ready tracks are a testament to the unapologetically fun, citational qualities of music production in the age of the Internet.

B


B is an imprint spurred by people motivated by their environment to share their common interest for electronic music, in its broadest sense.
