Ichigo Ichie
The most personal listing on this guide. For Mother’s Day 2026, Chef Akane Eno of fine-dining kappo restaurant Ichigo Ichie draws from her own childhood. Specifically, the oyakodon her mother made for her, Oyako Donabe, a Japanese rice cooked with spring onions, topped with simmered chicken soboro, egg yolk sauce enriched with uni, and finished with nori and ao nori. Not every Mother’s Day plan has to centre on a reservation. Little Island Brewing Co.’s Changi Village outpost opens up for a free-admission craft market on 9 and 10 May (12pm–6pm), with a curated selection of handmade confectioneries, artisan crafts, and lifestyle products from small local brands.
