Singapore International Jazz Festival 2015

Following its stunning debut earlier this year, the Singapore International Jazz Festival (‘Sing Jazz’) is back again this coming March 5-8 at Marina Bay Sands, delighting music lovers with another thrilling programme featuring some of the best in the business.

With the iconic Singapore skyline once again providing the backdrop, and Marina Bay Sands the setting, more than 250 artists – international Grammy Award winners, chart toppers, regional icons together with Singapore’Â’s own jazz stars – will come together to perform over four nights on a variety of stages.

While billed as a ‘Jazz Festival’, Sing Jazz is in reality a celebration of ‘jazz-inspired music’, from mainstream jazz to smooth soul, R&B and acid jazz, even extending to modern-day pop. As such, it reaches out to all ages and musical tastes, offering something for everyone, whether you’re a jazz aficionado or simply a lover of ‘live’ music, eager to see it performed at the very highest levels, at its vibrant and creative best.

But Sing Jazz also has an important social mission, to help develop the jazz ‘eco-system’ in Singapore and, in particular, support, train and nurture up-and-coming Singaporean jazz artists. To this end, every commercial Sing Jazz ticket sale includes a contribution to the Foundation for the Arts & Social Enterprise, which leads the way in encouraging and cultivating our local talent, many of whom will be seen performing on the Sing Jazz satellite stages, as well as the at the various public events held in the build up to the Festival.
