Island-Wide Apple Drop Grants Consumers Free Ciders

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, or so the saying goes.
Something big is happening in Singapore this June, and the brand behind it is Strongbow Apple Ciders.
From 10 to 19 June 2016, a staggering 25,000 apples will be distributed all around the island. When life gives you apples, you eat them of course. And when you’re chomping away, you might notice the Strongbow brand sticker. DO NOT throw them away, because that’s a free pint of cider right there!
Before you have to ask, these apples will be doled out during The Apple Drop at Metropolis and Asia Square from 12 to 2.30pm on Friday (10 June). They’ll be dotting the island till 19 June, Sunday. Can’t make it on the 10th? Find out where the dispensers will be each day on Strongbow’s Facebook Page to get your hands on these fruits of goodness.
Thereafter, simply take your sticker to participating outlets before 25 June and you’ll be able to redeem a refreshing pint of Strongbow cider.
Strongbow Cider 101
With 125 years of cider-making expertise and tradition back in England, it’s no wonder that Strongbow has over 15% volume share in the global cider market. Made from real culinary apples, their ciders are as authentic as it gets (and gluten-free too!).
At 4.5% ABV, Strongbow is a fantastic alternative for people who don’t particularly like the hoppy taste of beer. Plus, the brand offers 4 delicious flavours to suit every type of drinker. The classic Strongbow Gold Apple has established itself as a firm favourite of fans with wonderful gold hue and fruity, aromatic taste. In fact, the flavour recently won three awards at the International Cider Awards 2015.
The Honey variant – think lighter body and a frothy white head – possesses an aroma of apples, honey, and flowers, and complements honey-based snacks and foods. Elderflower and Red Berries are the newer flavours in the Strongbow Apple Cider range, enhancing the natural sweetness of the apple and giving it a more fruity cut-through. The former has a particularly waxen colour and has a subtle white flower complexity that goes from the nose to the palate, while the more effervescent latter evokes notes of wine and soft fruit, with a mix of pomegranates, raspberries, red currants, and even strawberry jam.
For maximum enjoyment, we recommend drinking Strongbow Apple Ciders over ice cubes – it always hits the spot. Strongbow may still be something of an indie brand in Singapore right now, but it won’t be for long – it’s already one of the best selling ciders in Australia and North America, after all.
Want to be head of the pack? Head out now and get yourself some apples, stat.
