The Bar Awards – Singapore 2016: Let The Polls Begin

Since its inception in 2014, The Bar Awards has been a standard-bearer of recognition for individuals and establishments in Singapore’s bar scene over the past two years. With admirable goals of bringing the bar community together to celebrate the achievements of the local bar industry, the organizers are shaking things up for their third edition next year.

The Bar Awards – Singapore 2015 Party

Traditionally, the judging is led by a group of bar professionals, bar owners, drink connoisseurs, and journalists known as ‘The Panel’. For The Bar Awards – Singapore 2016, a more rigorous voting process will be undertaken before awards are placed in the hands of the worthy – the public will be able to nominate their favourite bars and bartenders for the first time!

Winner of Best New Bear 2015 – Operation Dagger

From 7 to 31 December 2015, the public can submit their nominations through a form via this link. The Panel will be sifting through all the nominations and a shortlist of nominees will be released on 20 January 2016. Thereafter, every member of The Panel will select their top 5 contenders for each category, with every candidate receiving one to five points, in a bid to determine the ultimate winners.

Best Male Bartender 2015 – Tom Hogan, Anti:Dote

There are a total of 10 awards up for grabs that you can nominate your favourite bar or bar people for, including Best Culinary Experience in a Bar,  Best Beer Bar, Best New Cocktail Bar, and Bartender of the Year.

The winners will be announced at The Bar Awards – Singapore 2016 party on 13 March 2016 during Singapore Cocktail Week 2016.

So what are you waiting for? Cast your votes to crown the kings and queens of Singapore’s growing bar scene! For more information and updates, head over to their Facebook Page.
