London indie rock outfit The Vaccines are one of the few modern British guitar bands who have had such an instant impact.
Emerging in the summer of 2010 with a blend of retro surf punk, Ramones guitars and Everly Brothers pop hooks, their high octane, ultra-melodic sound saw them instantly adopted as the hot new guitar band on the block. The West London four-piece is made up of Justin Hayward-Young (vocals/guitar), Freddie Cowan (guitar), Arni Arnason (bass) and Pete Robertson (drums).
Their debut album ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ was released to rave reviews and quickly achieved platinum status, going on to become the biggest-selling debut album of 2011. Just 18 months later, their follow-up record ‘Come Of Age’ debuted at the #1 spot of the UK albums chart. Mid-2015 saw their comeback with the triumphant third album ‘English Graffiti’.
