You’re just in luck! we’ve fleshed out the timely best-kept secrets of our little red dot. This week’s specials are all about respite, recharge, and rejuvenation as you get into the summer holiday grooves.

Caffe Fernet

No better way to kick off World’s 50 Best Bar awards than with a cocktail or two. Italian restaurant-bar Caffe Fernet is welcoming two extraordinary mixologists Fabio Fanni from Locale Firenze (No. 51 on the extended list of the World’s 50 Best Bars 2021), and Francesco Bonazzi from 1930 (No.20 on World’s 50 Best Bars 2021). Bringing unique bar techniques, allure and mystery, brace yourself for a multi-sensorial experience. Expect your favourite classics such as Hendrick’s Neptunia Gin to be infused with lemongrass and salicornia cordial for a refreshing take or stirred down with distilled Negroni for an inception-like twist! Whilst the fizzy Elisir Caterina is hot on the tongue featuring spiced rum, accompanied with sweet campari, and vermouth flavours.

The guest shifts run on 22-23 June 2022, from 5pm-8pm, at Caffe Fernet, 70 Collyer Quay, #01-05 Customs House, Singapore 049323. 

Smoke and Mirrors

Sustainability is becoming the new buzzword in the food industry, but nobody is incorporating the concept as Smoke and Mirrors is. In partnership with Bombay Sapphire and Aberfeldy, this luxurious enclave is introducing two limited-time menus “Art of Botanicals” and “Barrels & Bees” to raise awareness on sustainable agriculture and biodiversity. The former features a 3-cocktail menu with unique customisation for guests where they get to pick from in-house edible Garnish Garden, while the latter boasts locally sourced unifloral honey that perfectly complements Aberfeldy’s whisky.

The limited-time menu is available from June to July at Smoke and Mirrors , 1 St. Andrew’s Road, #06-01 National Gallery Singapore, 178957. Open Wed – Fri 6pm – 1am, Sat – Tue 6pm – 12am. 

Moonbow

Nestled along the corner of Dempsey Hill, Moonbow embodies the marriage between authentic European cooking techniques and Asian influences. A step into the restaurant and the atmosphere reassures you of a good time, an exquisite meal, and true to the word, a thoughtfully concocted menu fit for the season. Available for one week only in the third week of June, Moonbow is pleased to present a bespoke menu of seafood fresh from the Scottish Isles. Prepared by Chef Darren Chua, this 5-course menu with refreshing starters like Rock Oysters served with Apple Gelee and Avruga Caviar, and show-stopping mains like Scallop Somen that serves Ibo No Ito Somen, Hand Dived Scallop, Sakura Ebi, Lobster Oil elevates Scotland’s seasonal best.

Binary

Binary is an all-day dining hook at the heart of Orchard, perfect for a late afternoon respite! Diners are presented with an extensive beverage program ranging from premium wines to cocktails and craft beers. Order an alcoholic beverage here during Binary Hour and you’d be surprised with the perfect complimentary pairing of Wagyu Kofta and Cajun Pulled Pork Sliders to go along with it. The Wagyu Kofta highlights vibrant Middle Eastern notes through a grilled patty of spiced ground Wagyu finished with garlic yogurt sauce, while the Cajun Pulled Pork – a Louisiana specialty – is packed with bold, smoky flavours.

Binary Hour runs Mon-Wed from 4pm to 7pm at Binary, 390 Orchard Rd, #01-01A Palais Renaissance, Singapore 238871.

Opus Bar and Grill

Opus Bar and Grill has just launched its exquisite Sunday Brunch menu set to appeal to the city’s most discerning gourmands and imbibers. Catering to all taste buds, the Opus Sunday Brunch selection includes a variety of cheese, cured meats, and experience to assemble a personalised charcuterie plate, a cold seafood counter, international cuisine with a Japanese Corner serving sushi and sashimi, a French section with live foie gras station and an Italian Counter with freshly cooked pasta, along with much more. The sky is the limit! And for pastry lovers, your food heaven is set right here with a complete array of tantalising desserts.
