What’s Supp

KUEH KAKIS ‘JIO’ YOU TO WHAT’S SUPP, SINGAPORE’S MOST UNIQUE SUPPER AT THIS YEAR’S SINGAPORE NIGHT FESTIVAL!

After a successful debut with Lepak at the National Museum, pop-up events organiser Kueh Kakis is pleased to announce its long awaited return with What’s Supp – an event that celebrates Singaporeans’ favourite pastime: eating supper.

In conjunction with the Night Festival (August 21, 22, 28 & 29), Kueh Kakis will be converting the rooftop of National Design Centre into a pop-up kopitiam where across the four nights, 8 creative chefs and bartenders serve up their creative takes on well-loved local supper dishes.

Issued with the challenge to deconstruct and design a modern version of their favourite supper dishes, the offerings at What’s Supp are fresh and intriguing yet familiar. The guys behind Red Baron give Maggi Goreng a modern twist with the use of wonder grain quinoa, without compromising on the taste and aromatics. Well-loved craft spirit cocktail bar The Secret Mermaid goes a bit cray with its take on Milo Peng, with the addition of homemade chai vodka and bitter chocolate infused vodka.

Newcomers Oden-ya will be giving Yong Tau Foo a Japanese spin, while Paper Crane amps up the classic chicken rice with a roulade of tender chicken and garlic-infused rice, topped with a zingy homemade chilli sauce. Local celebrity chef Jeremy Nguee will also be debuting his new-to-market gourmet rempah brand, Batu Lesong. Sample it in his creation, Rendang Jo – sautéed beef slathered in a rich rendang sauce, garnished with crispy onions in a toasted hot dog bun!

What’s Supp will be taking place at the National Design Centre Rooftop on Aug 21-22 and 28-29, from 6pm till 11pm. Entry is free and subsequent payment for food must be made in cash. For more information, visit the event page [here](https://www.facebook.com/events/307165799407650/).
