Get ready for a week full of theatrical pizzazz, as May brings with it the annual Star Wars Festival and the long awaited debut of ‘world’s greatest mentalist’, Nicolai Friedrich. Celebrate Singapore’s endless summer at the Lemonade pool party or the sunset cinema along Tanjong Beach in Sentosa while early preparations for Mother’s Day are in order at Dean & Deluca’s cooking workshop.
Star Wars Day: May the 4th Be with You Festival
On top of the usual May the 4th festivities, this year also sees the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope. The Supertrees will be morphing into glowing replicas of the ever-iconic lightsabres, as the Garden Rhapsody, Star Wars edition, hums to a different tune at this year’s Star Wars Day. Special character appearances will be made at the festival, as well as an outdoor movie screening and a themed silent disco, making it a treat for the eyes and the ears. Regardless of which side of the force you’re on, do come and be part of this cosmic extravaganza.

Nicolai Friedrich, the Best Mentalist of the World
Touted as the ‘world’s greatest mentalist’, Nicolai Friedrich is finally making his debut in Singapore. The charismatic German entertainer brings with him a bag of tricks and a wondrous night filled with laughter and spectacular illusions. A master at incorporating the old with the new, Nicolai mashes the evergreen magic tricks together with several fresh creations of his own, birthing a special unique performance like that of “Mona Lisa Smile”. If you’re lucky, you might even be called on stage to help out with the trick.
