Art Inspired by Journeys on Trains

Public transportation is a daily ritual for many Singaporeans and with it comes scenes of like-minded comrades glued to their phones while passing the time. Indonesian-born artist Cynthia Delaney Suwito spent her long train rides with her eyes on her surroundings instead. Through powers of observation and artistic talent, her latest exhibition while we wait draws on the world of her fellow commuters through simple daily occurrences from the colourful range of their outfits to a regular game of Candy Crush.

while we wait will run till 30 September 2020 at The Substation, 45 Armenian Street, Singapore 179936. Open Tues-Sun 12pm-8pm.
