Get Lit To Sing Lit Sounds: A Discord Disco

#BuySingLit brings local literature to us in a whole new way with a silent disco paying homage to three of our official languages: Malay, Chinese, and Tamil. Jam out to exclusive music produced by local musicians .gif, Fauxe, and Mantravine, enjoy some readings and open-mics for all languages, and even participate in an AMA (ask me anything) with the musicians.

Sing Lit Sounds: A Discord Disco is happening on 8 and 16 October 2020 from 7pm — 10.30pm. Tickets are free and available on Peatix.

Travel Around The World In 80 Days With ANDSOFORTH

Known for their over-the-top immersive dining experiences, ANDSOFORTH is back with a workshop on the Jules Verne classic, but this is unlike any book analysis you’ve ever experienced. Jump into the novel’s world with hands-on activities, costumes, and specially-designed sets recreating key scenes from the book. The best part is, you’ll get to sample various cuisines throughout your journey; the perfect way to satiate your wanderlust.
ANDSOFORTH‘s Around The World In Eighty Days by Jules Verne: Book Analysis Workshop is happening now until December 2020. Tickets are available here from S$148.
Catch The Observatory’s Lunchtime Concert

The Observatory is a band that’s easy to love but impossible to describe, having traversed various styles from folk electronica to progressive and avant rock in its almost-20-year history. But if there’s one thing that’s stayed consistent, it’s their spirit of resistance and reinvention. Catch their current lineup of Yuen Chee Wai, Dharma, and Cheryl Ong perform an eclectic set as part of LASALLE’s Lunchtime Concert Series. This show is part atonal, part post-punk, part improv, but all awesome.

Lunchtime Concert Series: The Observatory is happening on 5 October 2020 at 1pm, streamed live on LASALLE’s YouTube channel.
