Common Man Green Project Launch

Common Man Coffee Roasters (CMCR) is proud to bring you their first ever Green Project (3rd August 2014) – a farmer’s market that aims to introduce and educate the public on the concept of sustainable farming and foods with a specially curated line-up of locally produced artisanal products.

Having always been an advocate of sustainability through their coffee projects, the Common Man Green Project is not only an initiative to encourage community building based on the theme of sustainable foods, but also acts as a platform to encourage budding entrepreneurs and local talents to showcase their creativity through their unique goods and services.

Keeping things fresh are vendors offering refreshing goodies ranging from cold-pressed juices and green smoothies (LINS Smoothies), to farm-to-fork salads and green produce (Food Collective Group) served with homemade bottled dressing. Take a leaf from Edible Garden, where you can sample fresh herbs, flowers, and get tips on growing your own greens in an urban landscape.

Have a bite from our local talents. Chow down on handmade gourmet nougats in Asian flavours (3 Bites Full), all-natural nut butters (Second Helpings), homemade granola in a variety of local and offbeat experimental flavours (Eastern Granola).

There are also delicious French pastries from Tiong Bahru Bakery to pair with the excellent cuppa from Common Man Coffee Roasters.

For a taste of Argentina, head upstairs to Bochinche and unwind over a delectable spread of South American burgers, steaks, and wines before moving on to the other Green Project booths like Books Actually, Dottinghill, Green Banana (DIY terrariums), and Spa Esprit’s custom blend sulfate-free shower gel station.

Join us for a day of good green fun and discover new musical talents. The folks at Common Man are excited to lend their support to the ‘green’ cause, and are looking forward to making the Common Man Green Project a regular event on every first Sunday of the month.
