Head down to club kyo this July to boogie with the legendary [Osunlade](https://soundcloud.com/osunlade) and the soulful [Mark Steva](http://mikesteva.com)!
Osunlade is an artist who personifies art. His music as well as his being creates unified melodies manifested with balance, life and wisdom. With his professional journey beginning at age 17, Osunlade caught the ear of choreographer/performer Toni ‘Mickey’ Basil, who offered him a role in the development of musical pieces for several projects including the children’s television series Sesame Street.
Within the next ten years and over twenty albums credited, Osunlade felt the pressures and practices of the music business overshadowed his passion of music. He deciding to no longer work under the influences of corporate ideals and demands. Choosing to find spiritual solace and honor his soul, he was led to Ifa, an ancestral based culture/religion based on nature, deriving from the Yoruba tribes of Africa and practiced by the slaves during the Diasporato America.
With fourteen albums (one of which a multi=platinum!) and the founding of Yoruba records under his name, Osunlade is renowned for his legendary dj sets as well as his passion in maintaining an unparalleled music quality.
Alongside him will be DJ & Producer Mike Steva, whose true love of music and life radiates from his soul!
The debut album titled ‘Who Am I’ on Yoruba Records is an album inspired by Steva’s roots, influences and musical journey up till now. It has received lots of love and praisef rom DJ’s, Dancers and Music lovers from all over the world. It delivers eleven stunning cuts across a wide spectrum of electronic music, evidencing Steva’s vast range of influences. ‘Weekend Love’ is surely one of the most joyous records of the year, with a supreme vocal duet and the deeply tribal ‘Oro’ takes you on a spiritual journey to a remote village where Balkan brass, handclaps and footstompin’ are essential.
It’ll be all good vibes and even better music this Friday, so this is one night you don’t wanna miss!
The event will take place on 3 July at club kyo from 9pm onwards.
