Hong Kong’s cult boutique i.t sets up shop in Singapore.

To many a fashionista’s delight, well-known concept store i.t. officially opened its doors on Singapore’s shores last month. The brand new 10,200 square foot store plays host to cutting-edge fashion with a strong focus on developing Asian brands.

Not only do we have a new shopping haunt, we found out that the store has brought in nine completely new street wear brands onto the fashion scene. Here at Citynomads, we’ve rounded up our favourite collections that we have our eye on.

Izzue

We love Izzue for their creative and modern fashion designs. Material for ladies wear includes subtle touches of mesh, chiffon, silk and other light-weight fabrics perfect for the Singapore’s humidity. Denim styles effuse an urban vibe, and are made edgy with see through and lace panels. For menswear, we heart the knee-length short designs in varying colours, as well as the emphasis on the shirt with creative prints.

Venilla suite

Venilla suite designs really focus on the details to make their footwear stand out, and cover styles from casual to dressy occasions. This season, Venilla Suite’s collection has a total of three themes, ‘Pink Romance,’ – a more girly collection focusing on pastel colours and classic designs, ‘Edgy Monochrome’ – a collection that uses more experimental materials such as PVC, calf and sheepskin, and contrasting colours for a more minimalistic feel, & ‘Sport Chic’ – think mesh, bright colours and functional designs (wedges, flats) that provide comfort whilst still looking ultra stylish.

As Know as de base

As know as de base designs have a whimsical and ‘cutesy’ feel, and utilize ultra-feminine fabrics such as lace, chiffon and jersey in pastel tones. A key look is knee length skirts and pastel-toned knits for Spring/Summer.

Tout à coup

We are intrigued by the eclectic and European vibe of label tout à coup, which has three lines named ‘Tailor’, ‘Casual’ and ‘Fancy’ for the summer and offers a range of smart to casual attire for women. The clothes have also been specially designed and cut to look and feel tailored, a clear nod towards the French aesthetic.

With the promise of more brands to come and a cooler than cool vibe, the the arrival of i.t means another shoppers’ paradise for the more quirky, independent fashionista.
