A Week with Rémy Martin: Cognac 101 with Richard Gillam

Learn all about Cognac in this masterclass with Rémy Martin ambassador Richard Gillam. During these 2 hours, you will be taken through a Cognac tasting of the different grades of Rémy Martin, then given a demonstration of vintage Cognac cocktails that you can make at home.

THE MAN

Richard Gillam has been working in the wine & spirits industry for over 18 years in almost every position from bar back to operations manager and has also consulted on many leading brands and campaigns. Richard worked most prominently as Consultant and Head Instructor at the UK’s leading Bar School, Shaker UK, where he won numerous awards and plaudits. He later moved on to work at various consultant agencies where he had the chance to create cutting edge concepts and menus from London, New York to Dubai and the Maldives.

Settling in South East Asia and making his home in Singapore he continues his drink and bar design passion. Now the Regional On-Trade Channel Manager of Rémy Cointreau, Richard represents the Rémy Cointreau core portfolio, namely Rémy Martin, Bruichladdich Islay Single Malt Whiskies, The Botanist Islay Gin, Mount Gay Rum and Cointreau, and works to expand their presence and influence throughout the Asian bar scene.

A Week With Rémy Martin

A Week With Rémy Martin is a seven-day long inaugural celebration for all things related to the French premium Cognac. Held from 29 August to 4 September 2015, the event will see some of the best bars in Singapore open their doors for exclusive and specially curated sessions that showcase the various tastes and flavours of Rémy Martin Fine Champagne Cognac.

This event takes place at KUVO on 31st Aug from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. This event costs $68 nett for 1 serve of Rémy Martin VSOP, CLUB, and XO, 2 Rémy Martin VSOP cocktails, canapés and non-alcoholic refreshments. Tickets can be purchased at KUVO, Tel: 6733 8272.
