Greenwood Fish Market

‘Tis the season for seafood at Greenwood Fish Market, with a festive array of ocean gems to outshine your usual turkey. For your Christmas centrepiece, look no further than the Salmon Wellington (S$98 for 1kg) – think Atlantic salmon wrapped in mushroom duxelle and spinach, then cocooned in buttery pastry – or the Lobster & Salmon Wellington (S$188 for 1kg), which amps up the feasting with three whole Maine lobsters.

Publico Ristorante

If you aren’t much of a turkey fan, Publico Ristorante has a luscious, crackling pork belly roast that’s calling your name. Oxwell & Clan

Just in time for Christmas, Ann Siang haunt Oxwell & Co has regained life as a pop-up at Straits Clan’s Clan Cafe. Restarting its beloved Boxwell & Go delivery service with family-style roasts and all the classic fixings, chow down on Whole Free Range Roast Chicken (S$65 for 1kg) or succulent Grass-Fed Roasted Beef Striploin (S$160 for 1kg), served with roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding.

Even anti-veggie diehards might be won over by Oxwell’s take on Charred Brussel Sprouts (S$18), tossed with smoked bacon and drizzled with maple syrup, or the rich, crisp-topped Baked Cauliflower Cheese (S$18). The Marmalade Pantry

Yule revelry doesn’t get much more homely than The Marmalade Pantry’s festive spread. This homegrown bistro does a Traditional Whole Roast Turkey (S$128) right, featuring a mouthwatering bird rubbed with garlic and rosemary before being slathered in butter. The Maple and Clove Glazed Ham (S$128) is another stellar classic – a sweet-spicy gammon ham glazed with maple syrup.

The meats might be the star at the Christmas table, but The Marmalade Mac & Cheese (S$24) threatens to steal the spotlight. Rich with truffle butter and three cheeses – Parmesan, cheddar, and mozzarella – this dish redefines soul food. For dessert, the Pandan Gula Melaka Log Cake (S$65) with gula melaka-infused coconut flakes will do nicely.

Christmas fun doesn’t need to be all heavy meats, as Porta’s elegant spread proves. This European restaurant at Park Hotel Clarke Quay has crafted a four-course festive menu (S$66 per pax), featuring a lively medley of surf and turf. Start off comforting with Butternut Pumpkin Soup alongside buttery focaccia croutons, then dive into pan-seared Hokkaido Scallops jazzed up with avruga caviar and bacon bits.

For mains, pick between tender Black Cod bathed in a tomato sauce house-made with pork chorizo and chickpeas, or Australian Beef Tenderloin drizzled with red wine sauce and served with king oyster mushrooms. The Chocolate Log Cake is a classic crowd-pleaser, with shaved chocolate and tangy raspberry taking the indulgence up the notch.
