The crown jewel of all Thai landmarks, the Grand Palace is a sight to behold with intricate 18th century architecture, which is testament to the brilliant craftsmanship of the Thai people. Once home to the Thai King, the Royal Court and the administrative seat of government, every inch of the palace is tells a tale of a rich history. Within the complex are several buildings which include Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which is Thailand’s most sacred site.

Things to note: Wat Phra Kaew is Thailand’s most sacred site and conservative dressing is a requirement. Tickets are sold from 8:30am to 3:30pm. One ticket includes entry to Vimanmek Palace and Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall, but not Wat Phra Kaew, which has its own entrance fee of 500 Baht.
