Look forward to an electrifying finale to the HyperDrive Cities Regional Championship, an entertainment line up of Singapore’s homegrown talents, an electric go-karting experience, plus a community simulated racing challenge with prizes and bragging rights on the line. Cheer on the region’s top sim racers, as they take on a newly expanded Orchard Road Street Circuit – extended through Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut areas – for a chance to win from the prize pool of $10,000. Produced by the good folks at Legion of Racers, audiences are in for a treat as seasoned racers are put to the challenge with a 4.90km track, featuring a whopping 18 turns. 

Join emcee Claire Jedrek, as well as shoutcasters Hong Tsui (managing director of 9tro) and Philibert Santhanaraj in the excitement – the top racer takes home S$3,500 in cash!

Matching the high energy at the races, the festival gets lit up further with Singapore’s very best musicians, DJs and street dancers. Enjoy euphoric pop tracks that cemented RRILEY (formerly of indie-pop darlings, The Sam Willows) as a rising solo star, and dive into emotive stories turned into catchy hooks and tunes by Haneri (formerly known as Daphne Khoo). Pick up new moves as Rocio & Co. pumps up the stage with a street dance showcase, and party along with the multi-genre line-up of DJs Durio (co-founder, ATTAGIRL!), Cherish and NashD.

Budding sim racers can get a headstart on next year’s championship with simulated races in the sleek supercar, McLaren 720S GT3, and at the HDC Gameplay Stations, an immersive motorsports-themed gameplay that completes the experience with augmented reality. Strap in for the latter and conquer various Gamemaster challenges for a chance to take home prizes like NFTs and collectibles.

Take on the electric go-karting experience by RaceHub, where experienced and novice track stars can tackle the 200m electric kart circuit with the aerodynamic Ninebot Minipro Go Kart. Pro-tip: it comes with a sports mode that goes up to 24km/hour!

HyperDrive Cities Festival 2022 runs 23-25 September 2022. Tickets are priced between S$10 to S$30 on 23 September and S$30 to S$50 on 24 September for general admission and VIP access respectively. Each ticket comes with one complimentary alcoholic drink; VIP tickets includes access to designated VIP area and one food voucher.
