Recognised as one of the DJs who brought hip-hop to Ibiza in the mid ’90s, Phil ‘Phat’ Cooper is widely known for his residencies at Cream @ Amnesia, Cream in Liverpool and London’s Ministry Of Sound. Though perhaps his most lasting legacy is his NuNorthern Soul parties, which rocked the roof terrace at Space Ibiza every Sunday, kicking up a fuss with African and Latin beats, funk, disco, soul, hip hop and broken beat. Never one to stick to a singular style, Phil’s sound is a deep, jackin’, intelligent blend of house music
