A product of Sydney’s ever-evolving club scene, Dan Baartz began playing in his home city at the age of 18 playing in some of it’s most prolific venues even in his first year. After that it didn’t take long before Dan’s original productions made their way into the very scene they were inspired by
On the production front, Dans debut EP “Branded” on Trojan House Records has been played by Richie Hawtin at Enter, charted by OXIA and championed by Pig & Dan, Ramon Tapia, Amine Edge, DJ Sam Divine, Flashmob, Stacey Pullen, Lee Curtiss, Hot Since 82, Kruse & Nuernberg and many more. The title track is a deep, moody suspense driven groover that gradually builds through suductive, sensual female vocal stabs and is accompanied by remixes from Rhadow and Jaded. His follow up EP “Reflection” is a deeper groove laden release in which Dan further explores the darker side of house music.The package recieved support from Andre Crom, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Animal Trainer, Wade, Horatio, Markus Homm and UGLH
As a DJ Dan has held numerous residencies and guest spots at Sydney’s premier parties and venues including S.A.S.H., Musik Matters, Strange Clouds and Bad Apple to name a few, For the last two years Dan has been based in London. Whilst there he supported AndHim, SuperFlu and Joe Goddard at XOYO, one of Londons most iconic venues and was also featured on local Hoxton radio station Meat Transmission.
Now Dan calls Bali and Koh his home, get down this Saturday where he is first off the rank headlining our Resident Showcase
