For the Brunch Bunch – Kwee Zeen’s Sunday Champagne Brunch

Lavish Sunday brunches with boozy bubbles are a dime a dozen in Singapore – we reckon you could go for it once a month and not find one that checks all the boxes for you.

Recently, we headed down to Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Spa & Resort to check out Kwee Zeen’s Magnifique Sunday Champagne Brunch. Inspired by brasseries lining the French Riveria, Kwee Zeen presents a veritable spread of Pan-Asian specialties and classic French fare every Sunday…and here are eight reasons why we’ll go back:

The South China Sea

If you enjoy dining al fresco, be sure to snag a table outdoors because their deck is the perfect place to while an afternoon away. Boozy bubbles, a bit of sun, people you love, and a great view of the South China Sea – Sundays are supposed to be made of these.

Taittinger Brut Reserve

Going traditional with their choice of champagne (Taittinger is one of Champagne’s oldest cellars, since 1743), this well-balanced cuvée has a lovely golden hue and an expressive nose of brioche and peach. Plus, the elegant mousse bubbles means you’re not filling up your belly with just gas.

Seafood on Ice

SeafoodFresh seafood is one of the most important factors in a champagne brunch, and we weren’t disappointed. We were particularly impressed with the cold crab bar, which featured six different types (Dungeness, Flower, Snow, Brown, Mud, and Jourteax) of the crustacean. Other highlights include the shellfish and the juicy prawns.

Live Seafood Station

We’re sure you’ll agree that anything that’s freshly prepared always tastes better. Besides the a la minute Foie Gras Gallery, we recommend heading outdoors to the live seafood station – our live prawns cooked in spicy chili was finger lickin’ good.

Cheese & Charcuterie

Cheese GourmetWith more than 30 delicious varieties of cheese – we tried at least three types of blue cheeses – and cured meats ranging from the more typical parma ham and air dried beef to dry-cured venison, the selection of cheese and charcuterie at Kwee Zeen’s Magnifique Sunday Champagne Brunch is one of the best in Singapore.

The Chocolaterie and Dessert Trolley

After an incredibly satisfying meal, it’s probably easier to indulge in handcrafted chocolate truffles before moving on to the heavier sweet treats. Go for the Yuzu Mango and Bailey’s Truffle. And it’s always mesmerizing to watch your Crepe Suzette being flambéed in front of you on the dessert trolley!

Pool AccessSofitel Sentosa Swimming pool

This perk is pretty sweet especially if you don’t have easy access to a swimming pool – and Sofitel Singapore Sentosa’s 33-metre pool is absolutely gorgeous. Bonus: brunch goers also get 20% off bottled champagne by the pool till 7pm.

Entertainment for the Littlies

Bringing the tots out to a restaurant can be difficult, but you can wine and dine in peace at Kwee Zeen, since they’ve got a special Kid’s Room complete with cartoons, bean bags, games, and a selection of engaging games.

Available every Sunday, 12.30pm-3.30pm, the Magnifique Sunday Champagne Brunch is priced at $168++ per adult with free-flow Taittinger Champagne, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks. $138++ per adult with free-flow soft drinks and juices, and $58++ per child with free-flow soft drinks and juices.
