Remember November, for it’s one for the books as we start the year-end festivities in full swing and one of our tastiest lineups yet. MODAL is our new Wednesday night for house and tech-house, helmed by EJ Missy and rotating guests including this month’s Sivanesh.
Despite experimenting and mixing up styles and moods for a relatively short time behind the 1s and 2s, Sivanesh has accredited himself rather nicely, landing a full-time residency at CÉ LA VI, Singapore’s premier rooftop destination, as well as dropping his funk-ridden beats and grooves at quality spaces such as Canvas, Gem Bar and Kilo Lounge, among other notable venues, in the last twelve months. Believing in the music he picked up during his formative musical years, his sound is best described as a cross between the sexy house of Dennis Ferrer, the soulfulness of Kerri Chandler, and the groovy toughness of Santé. Keeping his playlist incredibly diverse and capable of being versatile, he has played alongside and supported international luminaries like Darren Emerson (UK), DJ Fudge (France), Ian Carey (USA), John O’Callaghan (Ireland), Style Of Eye (Sweden), and Satin Jackets (Germany). Encompassing everything from the deep, dark and dirty sonic crevasses to downright melodic and eclectic sounds, Sivanesh’s sets are truly a roller-coaster of soundscapes.
kyo presents MODAL with EJ MISSY feat. SIVANESH is happening on Wednesday, 11 November 2015 at Club Kyo. Admission is $20 for ladies, and $25 for men (inclusive of 1 drink).
