Best thing about Singapore? Great food can be found in the most inconspicuous corner of the island, and Mellben Seafood is one of those. With fresh and reliably meaty crabs in stock, Mellben is a great place for chilli crab, though the gravy used in their version is a little spicier with sweet and sour tones. Also try their Claypot Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Butter Crab – but be sure to arrive early (before 6pm) as they don’t take reservations, and the queue gets quite out of hand after 7pm.
