Peachy Shop: That’s just peachy with me!

While off gallivanting around the wonderful world, I often see things and wish that Air Asia had a more relaxed luggage weight policy. Trust me, they’re pretty strict. I recently tried to sweet-talk a stewardess into letting my ‘absolutely stuffed with Japanese trinkets’ bag on as hand luggage. She was stern, I was impatient…it was not a great moment for anyone. So imagine if your job was to roam the globe, finding the most unique, amazing things, and then bring them back so you could share the delights you had found. Welcome to the world of Peachy !

Only recently opened, this online shop has a select few ranges, but is expanding with every overseas adventure. So far, they have sandals from Italy, jewellery from Spain, New York via Korea and Denmark, bags from Paris and wallets from Australia. The ethos behind the brand is to introduce new, unusual and handcrafted accessories to Singapore. Nothing here is mass produced, everything is made with love and care and curated with a discerning eye; I can just imagine the anticipation and excitement of trawling through hustling, bustling markets looking for something special! With that in mind, pop your Indiana Jones hat on and take a look at what Peachy has to offer.

Anne Black is a Danish designer who creates porcelain products with a contemporary feel. These delicate white Love rings come in a variety of colours and designs and were inspired by antique embroidery. Stack them up on top of each other, they will look fantastic and it saves having to pick which one you like best. Peachy also stocks bracelets and necklaces from the Flower range. Prices from $27.

Korean design duo Cyclical Industry started off making unique accessories for bicycle riders before launching an accessories collection. Now, I am not at all sure if any of these gorgeous neon accessories will provide any assistance in the unfortunate event of a flat tyre or bicycle conundrum: but what I do know, is that wearing any of the above will definitely make you look super cute whilst pedalling away. Prices range from $21 for a ring to $29 for a necklace.

Anton Heunis makes decadent, vibrant ‘modern vintage’ jewellery for women who like their accessories to make a statement (me, me, I do!) Featured in ‘the bible’, aka Vogue (April 2012 UK Issue), he is something of a fashion darling right now, as bold, family-heirloom style jewellery adorns the catwalk and makes an unashamed comeback. He uses Swarovski crystals, brass, glass and semi-precious stones to create the wow factor. However, do wear sparingly or you may end up looking like a Christmas tree! Just one piece can transform an outfit from ‘blah’ to ‘ta-da!’ Prices range from $117-$340.

With the promise of more new and unique finds on the horizon, Peachy is one to watch.
