As COVID-19 is quickly becoming endemic in Singapore, restaurants around our little red dot are adapting quickly, to make the best out of the new normal. Here are some of the best things to eat and drink this week in Singapore, from exciting collaborations to menus reminiscent of abroad and quirky tipples.

Super Loco’s Month-long Special Menu For Day of the Dead

The Super Loco Group is honouring the traditional Mexican festival – Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) – with a month-long celebratory exclusive menu. The special menu has a melange of reimagined dishes from Mexican cuisine. Think Mexican staples like tender Seared Scallops and Roasted Corn Purée (S$26) and Smoky Beef Short Rib Enchiladas (S$38). Pair your meal with a tequila-based cocktail – Black Maria Margarita (S$19). Renowned local pâtissier Janice Wong promises a sweet finish with her special dessert collaboration – Pastel de Catrina.

The Super Loco Group x Janice Wong Collab will be available daily after 5pm, till 27 November 2021, at three Super Loco Group outlets – Super Loco Robertson Quay, Super Loco Customs House and Lucha Loco

Restaurant Gaig Invites Autumn In A Tantalising Manner

Gaig Restaurant is ushering in Autumn with all the delectable gems in Galician culture. Chef Marti Carlos and his team are working magic with seasonal produce like the coveted Percebes, using its sweetness and brininess to amp up luxurious ingredients like uni and Oscietra caviar. Another revered delicacy, Porcini mushrooms from France, comes served with luscious pork belly and bathed in a brandy-laced foie gras sauce. But the restaurant’s ultimate homage is to the holy grail, White Truffles – think steamed bun and oxtail rice but better, with shaved truffle and truffle fillings.

Restaurant Gaig is located at 16 Stanley Street, Singapore 068735, p. +65 6221 2134. Open Mon – Sat from 12pm – 3pm for lunch and 6pm – 11pm for dinner.

Raffles Courtyard x Pun Im: Where Traditional French Cooking Meets Thai Flavours

The final instalment in Raffles Courtyard’s Private Chef Series is its collaboration with Thai-French fusion concept Pun Im. Right off the bat, everything explodes with cross-cultural flavour; the Red Curry Duck Confit paired with a side of fragrant coconut kaffir lime rice is a gastronomical delight of its own. End your meal off on a sweet note with the delicious Black Sticky Rice 2 Ways dessert dish for the complete experience. The Pun Im Bundle (S$80++), all the Chef’s signature dishes served together, is ideal for those spoilt for choices by the menu.
