Time for a Pint: Where to Go For Oktoberfest 2015 in Singapore

It’s time to get your beer-guzzling game on (and break out the lederhosen and the dirndl while you’re at it) because Oktoberfest is back! And here’s where to get tapping for German food, frothy brew, and Oktoberfest spirit in Singapore for Oktoberfest 2015.

Oktoberfest Asia

Touted as the first authentic Oktoberfest experience in Asia, the yearly extravaganza at the Marina at Keppel Bay is back with Bavarian beers, food, and entertainment. Supported by Bavaria’s best breweries (like Weihenstephan Paulaner Schneider Weisse), you can also look forward to the Hofbräuhaus Show, which includes a yodeling queen and alpine hornplayers. Tickets are priced at $180 and include free flow beer and food from 6pm to midnight.

Post Bar, The Fullerton Hotel

The Oktoberfest jamboree has everything from beers to bratwursts, as well as beermaids and booming music. Tickets start from $15 and include an Erdinger beer. Ranging from $8 to $18, food options include more than the usual suspects, such as the Bavarian Potato Salad and Hearty Beef Goulash.

HillV2

Upper Bukit TImah’s coolest community mall is bringing the festival to the heartlands with their 10-day Oktoberfest special. With a host of beer promotions and menu specials participating outlets like Dean & Deluca (bottled beer from $7), Burrito Boys (set meals from $7), and Bing Bing Ice Cream Gallery. Also, get free beer on the house when you spend $50 or more in a single receipt at any HillV2 outlet during this period, redeemable at the Central Plaza on Level 1!

Rise, Marina Bay Sands

The folks at Rise are having a special outdoor barbecue, which will see the likes of juicy bratwurst, ‘snail’ sausage, smoked pork and garlic sausage, and cheese Krainer on the grill. Wash the meat down with apple strudel and copious amount of beer.

Old Boys Gallery

At $69 nett, Old Boys Gallery’s Knuckle Up platter features a pork knuckle, three types of sausages (chorizo, lamb, and beef), Australian ribeye, German potato with crispy bacon, sauerkraut, and sautéed vegetables, accompanied by curry mustard, raita sauce, and rosemary jus. Plus, diners are entitled to a free pint of beer for every three pints purchased when they order the Knuckle Up platter.

Paulaner Brauhaus

Paulaner’s microbrewery and restaurant at Millenia Walk has kicked off the festivities for its 16th edition of Oktoberfest with a whopping 6,000 litres of Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier ($17.50 a pint). Expect live music by the Scharivari Sextett from Munich, who’ll be playing traditional and modern Bavarian tunes, and a special Oktoberfest Menu by Executive Chef Klaus Lukarsch.

Oktoberfest at Paulaner Brauhaus is happening now till 3 October 2015, at Millenia Walk.

Brotzeit German Bier Bar and Restaurant

One of the few places to go in Singapore for all things German, Brotzeit’s Oktoberfest celebrations include authentic German food (especially their famed roasted pork knuckle), live entertainment by Oompah band Anton and The Funny Guys, and of course, Oktoberfest beer.

Clarke Quay

If you’re looking for a big party that’s more wallet-friendly, Clarke Quay’s annual Oktoberfest revelry is free admission! Featuring Erdinger beer and German themed food by Alegro, Catch Beer & Batter, Fern & Kiwi, Harry’s, McGettigan’s, and the Pumproom, an authentic Oompah band (Die Dorf Fest Kapelle) will be performing on Saturday night to spice things up.

Brewerkz

The folks at Brewerkz are known for their seasonable brews, so it comes as no surprise they have an Oktoberfest beer. Get your first pint of this festive brew at $5++ with any purchase of their German themed dishes like the Beer Roasted Chicken ($25++) and Pork Knuckle & Brats ($35++).
