First Canopy by Hilton in Asia Pacific Opens in Chengdu

Hilton Hotels’ accessible lifestyle brand Canopy has unveiled its first property in this part of the world in China’s trendy city of Chengdu. Built on the concept of a neighbourhood hotel, the brand looks to appeal to travellers seeking a locally-inspired experience. Located close to the city’s cultural sites andpopular dining and nightlife corridor, Canopy by Hilton Chengdu City Centre has 150 rooms ranging from 50 to 100 square metres. Each room is created with a canopy over each bed, accompanied with modern facilities such rain showers and Canopy’s signature “uncloseted” closet. Team members are known as Enthusiasts, and will be on hand to suggest hidden gems in the neighborhood to explore on Canopy complimentary bikes.

Chinese New Year Celebrations Continue with DFS Changi

New Routes on Vietjet Air

Low cost carrier Vietjet Air is on a roll. Besides launching Hanoi-Osaka and Hanoi-Tokyo last year, Vietjet welcomed its first flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don (gateway to the islands of Quang Ninh province, including the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay) in January. This month? They’ve opened sales for flights between up-and-coming island destination Phu Quoc and Hong Kong. The route will start from 19 April 2019 and operate four times a week.
