The Haque Collective Presents ‘Until Death’
Following the success of their previous productions – ‘The Jugular Vein’ and ‘Contract’ – the Haque Collective is back with an original script, ‘Until Death‘. The 90-minute play revolves around a couple that has a miscarriage. Though infant loss is something one in five Singaporean couples experience, discussing it remains stigmatised. Until Death tackles the silence shrouded in such experiences and delves deep into unpacking the mental health aspects to it, promising a liberating evening for the audience.

Satisfy Your Winter Wanderlust At Singapore’s First Ice Hotel Gallery
Snow City unveils a frosty surprise this November – a brand new exhibit that is Singapore’s very first Ice Hotel Gallery. The gallery simulates ice hotels found in Nordic countries, with magnificent sculptures, furniture and more, entirely carved out of ice. Before kicking back at the Ice Bar, wild out in an ice bumper car ride and battle it out in a freezing shooting arena. Admission include other highlights such as On top of exploring the two rooms in the gallery, explore other sites including the Snow Field and Arctic Snow Slide.

Love Etc.: A Poignant Play About Unconventional Love
Amongst all the events in vOilah! 2021’s lineup, there stands a statement piece about finding love in Singapore. Under the direction of Nanda Yadav, Love Etc. is a gritty, yet funny and heartwarming auto-fictional musical about non-conventional love Olivier Ahmad Castaignede eloquently weaves into dialogues, the conundrum posed when certain love matches aren’t approved by society. Watch a beautiful love story unfold through a play within a play, as an aspiring French playwright and pilot-turned-part-time-budding-director come together to write a play featuring real-life characters.

Discussing The Impact of Identities: Mileu 2021
A thoughtful dance recital by Frontier Danceland. MILIEU 2021 is a deeply provoking piece that engages the audience in a deeper conversation about the rediscovery of facets of identity. Featuring two homegrown dance artists in a contemplative double bill, Low Mei Yoke’s Unlock approaches the suppression of identity cautiously while Chiew Peishan’s Re Apple Diary essays the paradox of positive confrontations of the past and healing. Both pieces entwine to ultimately urge the audience to slow down and reconnect.
Mileu 2021. will run 12-13 November 2021 at SOTA Studio Theatre located at 1 Zubir Said Drive, Singapore 227968. Standard tickets are priced at S$32 and concession tickets are priced at S$25, book tickets online.
Walk Walk Don’t Run
The one thing that propels art forward? Conversation. Whenever individuals, including non-artists, come together to spontaneously share thoughts and ideas, it paves way for important pieces to surface in the arts scene. To facilitate more conversations, Walk Walk Don’t Run by Grey Projects is an island-wide open studio walk occurring over four Saturdays in November. They’ve roped in over 35 artists, design studios, artist-run and craft spaces across Singapore for this too!
