Hermès Leather Forever Exhibition

Hermès announces the arrival of the Leather Forever exhibition in Singapore from October 25th to December 13th at ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands. Open to the public, the exhibition celebrates Hermès’ relationship with leather, the first material tamed by the house. Leather Forever takes the visitor on a poetic journey exploring Hermès’ love of this fine material, presenting items from Hermès’ past as well as some of its latest creations. Craftsmen from the Hermès workshops in Paris will be present to demonstrate the art of leather working by creating some of its iconic bags on site.

As a prelude to the exhibition, guests are invited to embark on their journey with Little Room of Wanders at the historic Asian Civilisations Museum. This extract of objects from the Emile Hermès museum in Paris’ Faubourg Saint-Honoré brings a little piece of the heart of Hermès to Singapore in honour of the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence. Paintings, equestrian objects, ingenious mechanisms, rare books and unusual knick-knacks – blithely immune to fashion – have become a permanent source of inspiration for the house’s designers.

This event is running from 25 October to 13 December 2015 at ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands. Admission is free. For more information, please see [website](http://lfe.hermes.com/sg/en).
