Acquired by conglomerate Aztech Group for a whopping $4 million, the famed Kay Lee Roast Meat Joint has been dishing out their trademark roasted delights at a new 100 seater restaurant in Suntec City since early 2015. While prices may be slightly more expensive than usual, there have been no apparent dips in quality at the hawker institution’s new space. The new owners have shrewdly hired a group of worthy chefs to familiarise themselves with Kay Lee’s Guangzhou-style recipes so diehard fans can still enjoy the culture and heritage of this time-honoured brand.
