Session 1: The World’s Greatest Folktales (Suitable for children aged 5 to 8)

Laughter is universal as you will see as you laugh out loud with three of the world’s most beloved comic tales, each from a different spot on the globe.

The Tortoise and the Hare- Aesop’s most famous fable
The Giant of Grabbist (An English folk tale with a BIG surprise)
Why Flies Buzz –Jim takes on the personae of eight different animals and humans in this rollicking African classic.

Session 2: The World’s Greatest True Adventures (Suitable for children aged 8 to adults)

From desert sands to battles at sea, experience these amazing true tales.

The Mummy’s Tomb – Follow a path of mystery in pursuit of the hidden treasures of lost Egyptian pharaohs.

The Queen’s Pirate – Sail with history’s most swashbuckling adventurer, England’s Sir Francis drake, pirate, second mariner to sail around the world (without a map!), and ultimately national hero as he risks everything to save England from invasion by the world’s mightiest empire.

Session 3: An Evening of Classic Mysteries (Suitable for children aged 8 to adults)

Some of literature’s greatest characters come to life on stage in this acclaimed program filled with thrills, sudden plot twists, courage and loyalty.

In his warm and engaging manner, Jim Weiss will introduce you to Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in The Adventure of the Speckled Band, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and then he will acquaint you with the clever, good Father Brown in G.K. Chesterton’s surprising classic, The Blue Cross.

This event is happening on Sunday, 8 March at The Chamber, The Arts House.
