The Festive Shoppe at InterContinental Singapore: Your One Stop Shop for Gourmet Roasts, Log Cakes, and Christmas Confectionaries

Festive Shoppe - InterContinental Singapore

As the season of celebration enters the hectic last month, you’d want to make sure everything is primed, prepped, and ready before guests stream into your home for the annual Christmas feast. No time to hop from place to place and shop for your table? Over at InterContinental Singapore’s Festive Shoppe, you can grab everything you need and more from their comprehensive line up of festive takeaways.

In line with the theme of A Fairytale Christmas: Enchanted Woods that’s also across all of InterContinental Singapore’s dining establishments, the handcrafted selection of gourmet take-home dishes is inspired by the elements of the forest. Together they create a picturesque spread of delights, and here are highlights to add to your shopping list:

An uncommon – but absolutely delicious – meat selection this Christmas is the Roasted Kagoshima Kurobuta Bara ($148/2kg), packaged with roasted potatoes, juicy vine tomatoes, succulent mushrooms and mint jelly. Featuring premium pork belly from Kagoshima in Japan, the dish would serve as a unique centrepiece for your spread.

If you’re in favour of going for something more traditional, or simply a variety of roasts,  the Festive Shoppe’s duo of turkeys won’t disappoint – think mushroom-stuffed Maple Orange Roasted Tom Turkey ($168/5kg) served with baked potatoes, seasonal vegetables and giblet gravy, and the USA Traditional Roasted Tom Turkey ($148/5kg), with crunchy chestnut stuffing and sides of vichy carrots, salt roasted new potatoes, and gravy.

Beyond the savoury meats, fresh from the Festive Shoppe bakery are beautifully designed sweet treats in the form of cakes and signature specials. One of our favourites is the Snow Fairy Yule Log ($68/1kg), which features the king of fruits durian mousseline and sweet gula Melaka sponge, decorated with white chocolate pearls. Topped with a fairy-shaped chocolate decoration and covered in white, the gorgeous yule log is a wonderful sweet finish.

For those who prefer a low-sugar alternative, there’s the Framboise Chocolat Bȗche de Noël ($68/1kg). Designed to look whimsical and out of a fairytale, the sugar-free log of chocolate mousse, raspberry confit and chocolate biscuit is exquisite.

The goods don’t end with the rites and rituals of a holiday feast; put a Yuletide spin to your afternoon tea with InterContinental Singapore’s Festive Chocolate Biscuits. Inspired by Australian Tim Tams, the chocolate-covered cookies take on four distinct festive flavours – think pistachio amaretto cherry, raspberry gingerbread, mont blanc and chocolate peppermint, coloured in cheery pink, green, brown and white to light up your table. Packaged in 12 for $38, they’re perfect with a cup of tea or coffee in a close-knit gathering at home!

When not downing frappes during her writing spiels, Megan can be found catching up on her favourite franchises or cajoling friends and family out for yet another Japanese dinner. An insane need to stay connected means you can reach her anytime – except on alternate weekends, when she’s found next to a TV screen, watching F1 cars go ‘round in circles.
