Singapore Cocktail Festival 2018

The Singapore Cocktail Festival 2018 kicks off to a roaring start from 4-6 May at the Festival Village. This year over 30 best bars and guest bartenders are hosted right in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District on the Empress Lawn but that’s not all. Go cocktail crazy with $12 festival cocktails, sign up for a boozy Bar Tour or educate yourself on the higher art of cocktail making with a Cocktail Workshop. You’ll be happy to know that highlights like the Artisanal Spirits Tasting Room and the exhilarating Asia Bar Battle will also be returning.

Singapore Cocktail Festival 2018 is happening 4-13 May 2018; the Festival Village will run 4-6 May 2018 at Empress Lawn, in front of Victoria Concert Hall. Tickets for the Festival Village are priced from $28 for a one-day pass and are available here. The Cocktail Passport is priced at S$15 or complimentary with Festival Village entry. CÉ LA VI Sky High Brunch Returns Celebrating Cinco De Mayo

CÉ LA VI’s Sky High Brunch sees the space transformed into a Mexican-inspired tropical oasis for a Cinco De Mayo edition. Executive Chef Joey Sergentakis has curated a menu with an exciting selection of Mexican favourites like Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs and Grilled Shrimp Tacos accompanied by a bottomless flow of Veuve Clicquot, cocktails, and tequila. The spread includes 8 dedicated stations with a Live Roast Station featuring Chef Joey’s Carne Asada alongside fresh Salsa Verde, a raw bar well stocked with fresh seafood like King Crab Legs and New Zealand Mussels and the grand finale of a dessert bar showcasing all time Mexican favourites.

Shakespeare In The Park: Julius Ceasar

Shakespeare in the Park is back with a modern retelling of the thriller Julius Caesar. This riveting production at Fort Canning Park, featuring acclaimed actress Jo Kukathas as Julius Caesar and directed by Guy Unsworth will leave you mesmerised. Power, greed and ambition are the perfect ingredients for a compelling theatre experience so bring your picnic blankets, kick back and enjoy. With a stellar supporting cast and beautiful sets, this year’s production will be one to remember.

The Fold: Lasalle Graduate Fashion Show

On 3 May 2018, get ready to witness the daring fashion show featuring 12 shortlisted collections put together by the graduating students of Lasalle’s Ba(Hons) Fashion Design and Textiles programme. This year’s theme brings forward an understanding of a continuous process in fashion; where each season emerges from the previous one through a process of folding and unfolding. By collaborating with Swarovski, Converse and Takasago, the Lasalle students gain access to sponsorships as well as future opportunities in the industry. The big names in local and regional fashion will be in attendance so come on down if you want a taste of the pomp and pageantry of the fashion industry.

The Fold: Lasalle Graduate Fashion Show will be taking place on 3 May 2018 at 7pm.
