Artemis Grill & Sky Bar

Artemis’ Sky Lounge sits pretty at the top of CaptiaGreen on Market Street. Leave your worries on the bottom floor and ascend to the rooftops of one of Singapore’s tallest buildings, sitting at 242m above sea level. With ten different Gin Tonics alone (S$15++ each) and uber-afforable Happy Hour prices, the only thing that’ll get you feeling any more giddy with pleasure is partaking in their exquisite list of food and wines, cocktails, and digestifs. CÉ LA VI Sky Bar

No rooftop bar guide is ever complete without mentioning the iconic CÉ LA VI, which sits 200 metres above ground on the summit of Marina Bay Sands. Indulge in their menu of innovative cocktails and scrumptious bites laced with Asian ingredients and flavours, as well as an enchanting panoramic view of the city at the glamorous SkyBar. Loof is a whimsical urban garden bar that’s perhaps best recognised by its Instagram-worthy neon sign. Located on the rooftop of Odeon Towers, you’ll find this playful spot serving up Asian-inspired cocktails and tasty bar grub (created by Artichoke’s Bjorn Shen, no less) with a local twist. Then, take a trip down memory lane with their curated little gems of nostalgia at The Mama Shop.

Smoke & Mirrors

Not just one for special occasions like National Day, F1, or New Year’s Eve, Smoke & Mirrors at the National Gallery Singapore is a must-visit for exquisite drinks, and yes, an unblocked panoramic view that overlooks the Padang and Marina Bay. Kinki Rooftop Bar

Boasting a fantastic array of Japanese spirits, sake, and sake-inspired cocktails, Kinki occupies a two-level space on the Marina Bay waterfront. Its open-air rooftop deck and bar boasts majestic 360° vistas of the city skyline, and of course, an edgy hip crowd that you definitely want to mingle with. The best part? Happy hour (one-for-one beers and house pours) comes early from 5pm to 8pm every day, so how about having an early dinner at the restaurant before climbing up? Cocktails like the Shochu Melon Citrus and umeshu-based Hokkaido Plummet are also some to try.

Perched on the rooftop of Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena, there’s no doubt that Urbana is the highest bar in the business-residential district. Whether it’s to unwind after a long day or a romantic date, this quiet hideaway is super chic, featuring fine wines, decadent champagnes, and scrumptious bar bites (Curry Nachos, anyone?) from the hotel kitchen. There are spirit-forward drinks too, including a sweet Caramel Manhattan and nostalgic Chocoloco, inspired by iced Milo. Coming on a Thursday? It’s your lucky day with 1-for-1 drinks, excluding bottles, all night long from 5pm to 1am.

Zafferano Terrace Lounge

If you’re looking for a gourmet meal and quality wine, Zafferano should be on your radar. This newly-opened rooftop bar sits above So Sofitel Hotel, its glitzy terrace wrapping a round a gorgeous infinity-edged pool with golden tiles. Relish in the feeling of lounging by the water right in the middle of the city, but not without one of their artisanal equatorial cocktails and modern tapas in hand. Order the hard-hitting Rum Runner with housemade banana blackberry cordial or classy Hashtag Frose, comprising rose, champagne syrup and elderflower liqueur.

Japanese master mixologist Tomoyuki Kitazoe heads this chill rooftop bar atop the Esplanade. Here, you can watch as night begins to settle over the city, with an exquisite cocktail made from fresh fruits and vegetables in hand. A Watermelon and Chili Martini, maybe?

One of the coolest kids on the Telok Ayer block, Sum Yi Tai embodies the romanticism of 80s, gangster-rife Hong Kong while whipping up cheeky cocktails and premium whiskies. Lantern Bar

Squirrelled away at the corner of the CBD, this stylish rooftop hideout offers mesmerising views of the glittering skyline as well as modern cocktails, bubbly, and wines. Lit by red lanterns, you’re surrounded by an infinity lap pool, green landscaping, and sensual house music – ideal for a romantic night on the town over Berry Mojitos.

The Screening Room

Film, food, and most importantly, alcohol, converge at the Screening Room. Once you’re done with your film screening at the Boutique Theatre on Level 3, walk up to the rooftop bar for a view of lively Chinatown and the boisterous crowds on Club Street.
