This week is an exciting one. Singapore is holding its first large-scale, in-person event since the pandemic started, which means those of us who have been missing concerts now have our opportunity to go stand in a large, sweaty crowd again and listen to live music. Apart from that, we also have opportunities to explore an island off mainland Singapore, have a meal with an ex-offender and learn about their life, and enjoy art exhibitions and dance performances.
Attend Singapore’s First Large-Scale Event Since Circuit Breaker
Organised by AEG Presents and Collective Minds, Back to Live is an in-person, two-night event held at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands on 18 and 19 December. Homegrown acts Benjamin Kheng, Sezairi and Charlie Lim will be headlining the concert, with special guest appearances by Narelle, THELIONCITYBOY, Linying, KEYANA and Aisyah Aziz. This event is part of the Ministry of Health’s pilot for pre-event testing, which means all ticket-holders will need a negative COVID test to enter. Testing is free, and there are only 500 tickets per concert, so act fast.
Back to Live is taking place 18 and 19 December, 9.30pm – 10.30pm. The concert will be at Sand Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, 4 Bayfront Ave, B1, Singapore 018973. Purchase tickets here for S$59 (one-day pass) or S$106 (two-day pass).
Break Bread With An Ex-Offender
An entirely unique experience that only lasts for two weekends, Genius Central and Architects of Life are presenting an experience where you can have a meal hosted by an ex-offender, learn about their personal story and ask them all the questions you want. Priced from just S$40Â per person for a main and a drink, sets cater to up to groups of four. All proceeds for the event will go towards supporting programmes run by Architects of Life, a social enterprise that works with ex-offenders and youth-at-risk.
Upclose & Personal will take place at Genius Central, which is located at 7 Amoy Street, #01-01, Far East Square, Singapore 049949. The event will take place 12 December, 13 December, 19 December and 20 December 2020 from 7pm – 10pm. Learn more about Upclose & Personal and book tickets here.Â
